STUPID LTA

These days I have problem with buearacracy man...First..stupid PGP..ask for photocopy of 30 matric cards to ensure that my ENS camp is really for NUS students.. NA BEH stupidest thing I ever heard. no wonder no body want to go PGP. Where got camp or workshop confirm the attendance so properly one. Makes me feel like go be Auditor and go audit them over this.. sure scold them upside down. I confirm 30 pple now does not mean at the actual date these 30 pple will come mah. somemore NUS pple famous for pang sehing ...hahaha... Angry..
Nevamind.. Then today LTA also give me problem...their bladdy website give me problem...

Topic : Stupidity of the Online Road Tax Renewal System
I am very fed up and angry over the renewal of road tax system. It is one of the most stubborn and un-userfriendly system I've ever seen. First, it told me that to pay online I must disable the pop-up blocker. I did not. And it redirected me to the first page to login again. My bad. So I disabled the pop-up blocker and tried to login. And guess what? The VERY intelligent system tells me that the record is being accessed by someone else and therefore it does not allow me to access it. Very clever indeed. Your system kicks me out and then says that someone(which is me) is accessing it and does not allow me to go back in! Never mind. Being trained in computers, I understand that the session will timeout and then I can carry on with my business. It took 20-30 minutes to timeout. MY GOD thats so damn long! You could shorten the time out and prompt the user if he is taking too long just like DBS internet banking! Nevermind. I accessed the system again. This time with my pop-up blocker switched off. And now guess what? My wireless connection decided to fail on me and when I refresh, I'm being directed to the start and the same problem again! I cannot access the system! This site has got to be improved. I understand that this is to prevent multiple access to the same record but what are the chances that a record is being accessed by many people. Virtually impossible for private cars.
I suggest that the timeout be changed. Perhaps shortening the time-out to 5-10 minutes would be a good idea. And maybe allow the server to sense that "another party" is trying to access the record and maybe make a decision on whether to terminate the session or not.
I come from a Government Agency too and I know our websites have achieved fame as being irritating, annoying and full of bugs. But this is really scrapping the bottom. Moreover, ALL vehicle owners come to this site.
