I hate NUS

This sucks. Not only am I worried about OSA not approving my plan, I'm worried that they will charge full adult rates for my people who do not have matric cards.

This sucks.

Assuming 15 of them are affected..thats an increase of fees from 20 to 50...30 x 15 = 450 dollas...

So I might have to pay an extra 450 dollas... There goes the save as much policy...

I don't know la...I just feel very fed up over this. Why can't NUS give more freedom on this issue. According to their guidelines, orientation activities should be done in Week 0 where they would have collected their Matric cards. Stupid guidelines. How to orientate that time. So many orientation going on. Who should the freshmen turn to. I'm so angry. Why is NUS...asking us to be what we think we can be and yet all the time limiting us and restraining us.

Right. I know. I'm in the wrong. Because I'm trying to break some rules...some rules which i think are stupid and irrelevant.

How to be top 18th university like that... No wonder we all snigger when we heard the news. The people doing the survey should seek student's view. The real views. Not some polished view that u hear from the top... ask the peps who have a low cap...those who are victims of the school's unfriendly adminstration. Oh well.. i exaggerate... but its still enuff to get on my nerves.

Argh...

The BIG Irony of Life

I'm writing my detailed plan for ESCAPE...the econs soc camp. As I write the more pissed I become. Because I have to lie. Because if I write what I am REALLY going to do its most likely not going to be approved. Because it does not really comply with the guidelines. Oh well.. I've plan a few activities outside of school. Where they want most if not ALL of activities in school. I'm pissed. Because Singapore is a boring enough place. What more a SMALL piece of Singapore called NUS? How do you expect interesting activities to be planned with your stupid guidelines? How do you expect us undergraduates to be creative? When you seek to confine us all the time? We are adults for god's sake and freshmen are also adults! If not young adults. Alrite...there are a few nut cracks out there...but... this bureacratic nonsense is getting too much. Everywhere is redtape. And things don't move because people hide behind the redtape and don't do anything. I feel sick because I have to lie to get my camp approved. Why can't I just tell the truth and have the assurance that the adminstration look at it and not just crumple it up without truly understanding what I am trying to do. It is an irony...that we say we are world class...that we say we are different from others... that we say that we let you follow your dreams... when I have to lie to get my camp approved. And still worry that it does not get approved.
